From ade426fa83a4840a3940aee184e8b65ecfeeb6aa Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Joshua Nelson Date: Wed, 9 Nov 2022 02:52:59 -0600 Subject: [PATCH] Fix `rustdoc --version` when used with download-rustc Previously, rustdoc would unconditionally report the version that *rustc* was compiled with. That showed things like `nightly-2022-10-30`, which wasn't right, since this was a `dev` build compiled from source. Fix it by changing `rustc_driver::version` to a macro expanded at invocation time. --- src/debuginfo/mod.rs | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/src/debuginfo/mod.rs b/src/debuginfo/mod.rs index c55db2017ee6..2ba012a77b0a 100644 --- a/src/debuginfo/mod.rs +++ b/src/debuginfo/mod.rs @@ -59,7 +59,7 @@ impl DebugContext { let producer = format!( "cg_clif (rustc {}, cranelift {})", - rustc_interface::util::version_str().unwrap_or("unknown version"), + rustc_interface::util::rustc_version_str().unwrap_or("unknown version"), cranelift_codegen::VERSION, ); let comp_dir = tcx
