c9d4ad07c4 remove the float type 
It is simply defined as `f64` across every platform right now.

A use case hasn't been presented for a `float` type defined as the
highest precision floating point type implemented in hardware on the
platform. Performance-wise, using the smallest precision correct for the
use case greatly saves on cache space and allows for fitting more
numbers into SSE/AVX registers.

If there was a use case, this could be implemented as simply a type
alias or a struct thanks to `#[cfg(...)]`.

6d03897376 Don't use libc::exit. #9473 
This can cause unexpected errors in the runtime when done while
scheduler threads are still initializing. Required some restructuring
of the main_args functions in our libraries.

8522341274 Remove {uint,int,u64,i64,...}::from_str,from_str_radix 
Remove these in favor of the two traits themselves and the wrapper
function std::from_str::from_str.

Add the function std::num::from_str_radix in the corresponding role for
the FromStrRadix trait.

424e8f0fd5 auto merge of #8679 : singingboyo/rust/json-to-impl, r=alexcrichton 
to_str, to_pretty_str, to_writer, and to_pretty_writer were at the top
level of extra::json, this moves them into an impl for Json to match
with what's been done for the rest of libextra and libstd.  (or at least for vec and str)

Also meant changing some tests.

Closes #8676.

45426c3b4c vec: rm obsolete zip and zip_slice 
These are obsoleted by the generic iterator `zip` adaptor. Unlike
these, it does not clone the elements or allocate a new vector by
default.

0ac7a219f0 Updated std::Option, std::Either and std::Result 
- Made naming schemes consistent between Option, Result and Either
- Changed Options Add implementation to work like the maybe monad (return None if any of the inputs is None)
- Removed duplicate Option::get and renamed all related functions to use the term `unwrap` instead
