8fc60af441 Remove by-copy mode from std, mostly 
One instance remains in net_tcp due to a foreign fn. Lots of
instances remain in serialization.rs, but IIRC that is being removed.

I had to do unholy things to task-perf-word-count-generic to get it
to compile after demoding pipes. I may well have messed up its
performance, but it passes.

5e36a99794 Refactor trans to replace lvalue and friends with Datum.

3f6e6532ac make vec fns/methods take imm slices. 
this also repairs the unsoundness in typing of unpack_slice,
which was silently converting a const ptr to an imm one.
